Dov ben Zion and his wife, Lyndee Gelman, are the founders of My Brother’s Keeper International. Registered as a tax-exempt, not-for-profit corporation, My Brother’s Keeper International’s mission is to restore hope and create educational solutions for children and families living in poverty and conflict zones in Israel. MBKI has been on the cutting edge of community and school-based program development and delivery since 2005. MBKI’s basket of services are tailor-made to remove obstacles to learning that are unique to children, families and educators that struggle from the effects of urban poverty, geographical isolation and armed conflict.
Dov ben Zion is also a six year veteran of Israel’s Border Police. He has served in the Jerusalem district on a counter-terrorist tactical team and is a decorated veteran of two wars. After his service, Dov worked for an elite Israeli security company specializing in executive protection, surveillance and international investigations.
